Serving in the Osaka Area
Nathaniel Gillespie arrived in Japan with Asian Access on March 5th where he is serving a 3-month term as a j-Team of one with South Osaka Bible Church. At SOBC Nathaniel is teaching English, sharing his testimony, and using his gifts and abilities in any way possible to connect Japanese people with the church. Please follow Nathaniel's experiences on his blog.
Nathaniel first came to Japan in the spring of 2009 on an EnVision trip and to help with child care at the Asian Access Spring Retreat. During this time his interest in Japan and the Japanese people continued to grow and he felt that God might be calling him to serve in Japan for a longer period of time in the future. He returned to Colorado and applied to come back to japan on a j-Team to gain experience ministering in Japan and to better discern God's leading for his future.
Pray for Nathaniel as he serves that he would:
- Grow daily in his relationship with Christ.
- Grow daily in his love for the Japanese people.
- Be able to effectively communicate across language and cultural barriers.
- Be part of leading many Japanese into a relationship with Christ.
- Bless and encourage SOBC as he serves in South Osaka.
- Enjoy his time in Japan.
