The Church Planting Associate Program is open to couples without kids as well as to families.

Families

To maximize the financial investment of missionaries and the Japanese church, families must commit to a 3-year term.  The support requirements for families would be more like our Church Planting Missionary's support profile with the exception that a Japanese church would subsidize 30% of your costs given the fact that you and your family could commit to going for 3 years.  Three years is the time span it takes to start and plant a Japanese church in the networks that are established in the various regions of Japan.  The cost of a Church Planting missionary is significantly more that the cost of an Church Planting Associate.  We can provide more details upon request.

The cost of support raising increases when language training (you can opt to do language training in Japan or in the USA) and education is added.  Many of our missionaries are opting to do home schooling for their children.  If you have further questions about language training and education, please post a question in our go2japan Forum.
