Our San Diego trip was just two weeks long, but it felt like it took two weeks to recover from jet lag, unpacking all of our luggage and sorting through all the food, presents, and souvenirs we brought back.

While in San Diego many people asked “how does it feel to be back home?” It may seem like a simple question, but the word home threw me off each time. I don’t know how to describe it but now I feel like we have two homes. San Diego, and especially our home church CBC, will always have a special place in our heart because it’s a large part of our story and where our roots grew so deep. Our desire has been to grow where God plants us, so when we moved to Japan we were intentional to create a new home in Rifu. Now we can say Rifu holds a special place in our hearts too and it feels like home at the same exact time. I think this is only possible because in both places we are connected with and encouraged by fellow followers of Christ.

Though the trip was short we felt so incredibly blessed by our time. It was amazing to spend time with friends and family and it felt like we had just hung out last week. Here’s some highlights through our pictures.

We returned encouraged, ready to continue the work God has prepared for us here.
