Stories from Joe Handley, president of Asian Access

A2's Joe Handley with Greg Yoder of MNNRecently I was in the Grand Rapids, Michigan studios of Mission Network News (MNN) being interviewed about our ministry in Sri Lanka. Greg Yoder, executive director of the top-class Christian news service was conducting the interview. MNN has been covering stories about our ministry for the last two years.

Not only are these stories posted on the MNN website, but they are also broadcast on over 1,000 radio stations worldwide. We have greatly appreciated the positive exposure that Mission Network News has provided for our ministry (and about 70 other mission organizations).

At the end of the interview, I decided to ask Greg why MNN has partnered with Asian Access. Listen to what Greg tells me...

The harvest is plentiful, and the workers are few. Yet, despite all of our efforts to mobilize new people, our team size has remained relatively static for the last decade or two.

Wander Where He Leads

“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost,”
— J.R.R. Tolkien

From my very first chapter book I have been a re-reader of stories. My mom read Sterling North’s Rascal (funnily enough, a popular anime in Japan) to my little brother and me when I was in the first or second grade. When she finished the book, I loved it so much that I immediately wanted to go back into the story and experience it by myself. I have been voraciously re-reading ever since. Each story is as comforting as getting coffee with a dear friend.
