A2 Welcomes Robert and Roberta Adair

adairs-2010We are pleased to announce that Robert and Roberta Adair have been accepted as career missionaries with Asian Access. It was a pleasure to meet Robert's lovely bride and hear about how God has been preparing them for this big step. They graduated together from Wheaton College's Graduate School with MAs in Intercultural Studies just days before coming out to California to meet with our career screening committee. The Adairs now begin the process of raising additional support and building a team that will stand with them through future years in Japan.

Roberta (Clogg) Adair hails from Bellefonte, Pennsylvania and spent three years church planting in Kosovo with the Christian and Missionary Alliance before beginning her studies at Wheaton, where she and Robert met and ultimately married in July 2010. Roberta is a servant leader who loves people and has a heart for compassion/justice ministry and holistic evangelism.  We look forward with faith-filled expectation to what she will bring to the work in Japan.

Robert Adair was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. While in college at Texas A&M University he went to Japan with Asian Access' j-Teams from 2001-2003. He served from 2005-2009 in Kyushu as a Church Planting Associate an has been assisting with mobilization for j-Teams since returning to the United States for further education. While studying at Wheaton, Robert has grown through mentoring relationships and also received an award from one of his professors for "Excellence in Contextualization" in his writing and special projects.

During their pre-field depuation, Robert will continue in his role of as j-Teams Coordinator and they will remain based in Wheaton with strong ties to Pennsylvania and Texas until God provides for their move to Japan.  He is a key contributor on our partner website,, as well as on Twitter and Facebook (see below).

Please pray for their new marriage as they prepare for ministry in Japan with Asian Access to serve with Church Multiplication Teams. Robert and Roberta both hope to join the A2 Family in Karuizawa, Japan for the annual Spring Retreat in March (10th-14th).
