    SHORT-TERM OPPORTUNITY | SUMMER 2020

Japan is home to nearly 127 million people. Less than 1% of them are Christian.

Short-term teams and interns will take part primarily in two ministries, both under the leadership of the Japanese Church. First, they will come alongside the local Church to help them host outreach events such as block parties, culture nights, pick-up sports games, dramas, and conversational English practice. Short-Term Teams in Japan

For over 50 years, Asian Access has specialized in sending missionaries to Japan to partner with visionary pastors and congregations to help start and strengthen Japanese churches. The foundations of our organization were built upon years of a robust summer short-term teams program. Japan is wide open for your gifts.

    Wanted: Resilient Harvest Workers

That's right! We're looking for people who know God has a heart for the world and are ready to do something about it. This summer, share the gift of Jesus Christ among one of the most strategic unreached people groups on earth.

You'll see new sights, eat delicious foods, and serve with a Japanese church to reach out to their community for Christ. Through Asian Access, you'll learn about a new culture and share your life with your Japanese church and those they are reaching out to through English teaching, coffeehouses, testimonies and your specific gift mix.

Are you ready to see God at work in Japan? Are you ready to serve? Are you ready to learn? Are you ready for the adventure? You will never be the same.

Now is the time to start making plans.

Here's how you can get started.

      1. Start praying about Japan and your involvement. Ask God to give you a heart for Japan and its people.
      2. Find out more. Read more on this website, then email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Tell us you're interested in possibly bringing a team to Japan.
      3. Talk to a missions pastor or staff sponsor about your desire to bring a team to Japan. We can contact them with information if they would like to know more.
      4. If you feel led to try putting a team together from your church or school to flood the streets of Japan with the Gospel, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for resources on How To Recruit A Team. A team should be composed of 3-5 people from your church or school (college age and up). Each team member must have a love for people, a strong understanding of the Gospel, and a desire to share it. English is the only language necessary. No one will have to be fluent in Japanese. (What a relief!) Of course, we'll teach you a few key phrases, you know, to help you find the restroom or to meet and greet people.
      5. You'll need to get together a game plan for how your team can raise support. We have some training materials will help give you the tools and ideas you need to get on your way. With our materials to provide guidance, before you know it, you'll have a team in Japan tackling the Great Commission during an exciting summer overflowing, bursting with life.
      6. Keep praying and pray some more.

This year, teams are being sent to churches across Japan, and you can go too! There is someone in Japan waiting to hear the gospel from you and your team.
